The Working on Gifted Issues (WOGI) project
focuses on initiatives to support students who are gifted, their parents
and educators who work with them.
The purpose of the Working on Gifted Issues (WOGI) project is
to encourage public schools to implement exemplary programs which
challenge gifted students. Emphasis is placed on:
- improving the quality of existing programs
- initiating a model or demonstration program
Funding for the WOGI project is provided through the Florida
Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and
Student Services.
The WOGI lighthouse symbolizes that we are always on the lookout
for best practices to guide educators who work with learners who are gifted parents, and
various stakeholders in meeting the needs of gifted children.
