Professional Development Module Available for
Coordinators
Florida's Frameworks for K-12 Gifted Learners provide guidelines which
support a challenging and rigorous curriculum that enhances the Florida
Sunshine State Standards in order to meet the needs of gifted students
in our schools. This professional development module,
Understanding and Using the Florida’s Frameworks for K-12 Gifted
Learners, has been developed to be used by coordinators of gifted
programs or instructors of the gifted endorsement
course Curriculum and Instructional Strategies for Teaching Gifted
Students. The resources can also be used independently by a teacher of
the gifted to review the Frameworks or interact with the Frameworks for
the purpose of applying the goals, objectives, and traits in lesson
planning and design and documenting student progress. The module is
designed so that the presentation leads the learning process.
