Parenting a gifted child presents unusual challenges. To support parents
of the gifted, WOGI
provides:
- Awareness through the parent menu on the website to information regarding state policies and rules
- A column of frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) with answers provided by recognized advocates in the field
- A series of media presentations to address issues of concern
- Parent Resources, including Student Resources, Virtual Classroom Options, Student Contests and Educational Apps.
- Resources also available for teachers and coordinators.
- A parent of a gifted learner on the advisory group
- Opportunities for parent workshops to provide support for local parent groups
