2009-2010 Work Groups
Response to Intervention (RtI) Work Group
The purpose of RtI is to improve results for all students. RtI is based
on a three-tier model:
- Tier 1 – core instruction
- Tier 2 – supplemental instruction/interventions
- Tier 3 – intensive interventions
The intent is to provide effective instruction for ALL students. This
group will look at how gifted education plays a role within the RtI
framework.
